1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the DateEra website, you agree to these Terms. If you disagree, do not use our service.

2. Your Account

  • Eligibility: Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Usernames: Cannot be offensive, misleading, or infringe on rights.
  • Verification: Users may be required to use multi-factor authentication (MFA) or identity verification tools to prevent fraud and catfishing.
  • Termination: DateEra may suspend or terminate accounts at its discretion for violations.

3. User-Generated Content

  • Responsibility: Users are solely responsible for content submitted. DateEra acts as a service provider under Section 230 and is not the publisher of user content.
  • Prohibited Content: Illegal, threatening, harassing (including cyberflashing or unsolicited explicit images), discriminatory, defamatory, confidential without consent, fraudulent, misleading, or infringing intellectual property rights.
  • Financial Fraud: Solicitation of funds, loans, or financial assistance from other users is strictly prohibited.
  • License: Users grant DateEra a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, and display submitted content.

4. Anonymity and Privacy

While anonymous feedback is allowed, no system is 100% secure. Users are responsible for protecting personal information. Users are advised that moving conversations to external, unencrypted messaging apps is done at their own risk.

5. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

  • Accuracy: DateEra does not verify feedback accuracy.
  • No Advice: Platform content is informational only, not legal, financial, or professional advice.
  • Real-World Conduct: DateEra does not control user conduct in physical settings and is not liable for outcomes of off-line meetings.
  • Liability: DateEra and affiliates are not liable for damages arising from platform use to the fullest extent permitted by law.

6. Changes to Terms

DateEra may modify terms at any time, updating the Last Updated date. Continued use constitutes acceptance of updated terms.

7. Dispute Resolution Policy

7.1 Purpose:

To provide a clear process for resolving disputes related to data privacy, security, or other platform concerns.

7.2 Mandatory Arbitration:

To the extent permitted by law, any dispute or claim arising out of or relating to these terms or use of the service shall be settled by binding arbitration rather than in court.
